• Be respectful. Treat others with courtesy. Aggression or personal attacks aren’t acceptable, and we aim to keep this a safe and welcoming space.

• Take responsibility. If you make a mistake or upset someone, apologise and work to make things right. Avoid swearing or negative language—it only makes things worse.

• Ask for help. The community is here to support you. Whether it’s technical advice or general questions, please reach out.

• Step down considerately. If you need to leave a project or reduce your involvement, please let the group know and make sure others can continue the work.

• Take the initiative. Leadership comes from action. If you have an idea or see something that could improve OARC, go for it! You don’t need permission to make a difference.

• Value diversity. Our differences make us stronger. Embrace the varied skills, perspectives, and experiences of others, and work together to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.

Our code of conduct applies to both in-person events and our Discord server. We all share responsibility for our actions. Since a significant portion of our activities take place on our Discord server, we've established a small, light-touch moderation team to help ensure everything runs smoothly.
