I wanted to connect to my local BBS via telnet to download bulletins and send mail.

1. Download and install Outpost from https://www.outpostpm.org/index.php
2. Create telnet user in your telnet port configuration. Make sure this user is your callsign.

   ID=Telnet Server                              ; PORTS command text
   DRIVER=TELNET                                 ; TCP/IP connection

   USER=EI5IYB,somepassword,EI5IYB,BBS           ; BBS user
ENDPORT

When Outpost starts to the first time, it will show the Station Identification window.
Add your callsign and name and click OK
