It is currently in beta and being actively developed but already has a nice user base. There is currently only one server running on MB7NPW, so this is where you will need a route to for the moment (see the UK packet network map to get an idea of possible routes), but there are plans to move to a distributed server model where there will be many servers on different nodes.
