This is an old revision of the document!
Germany has three categories of licence:
- Class A, CEPT HAREC, all bands with up to 750 watts output
- Class E, CEPT Novice, prefix DO, 100 watts on 1.8/3.5/21/28 MHz, 75 watts 144/430, 5 watts 10 GHz + temporary access to 50 MHz, 2.4 and 5 GHz
- Class N, CEPT Entry-level, prefix DN9, 10 watts ERP on 28 MHz, 10 watts EIRP on 144/430 MHz
There is no need to take the lower level exams before doing Class A or Class E.
