*Preliminary details*

An Icom PMR set that seems good for 1200bd Packet - 9600 testing to follow.

Short version:

• OPC-617 cable gives you a DB9 data port
• You need to enable external PTT on the cable through the programming software
• You need to bridge solder pad F on the main board to enable data input through the cable
• I briefly flicked the Ninos to 9600 and I got the test sequences going, dummy load to antenna, but I need to spend more time on this.

OPC-617 Detail

If you don't have an OPC617 cable you can connect direct to the connector on the board as follows:

Here is an example of such a home-brew connection:

The connector is an 11 pin JST ZH plug, but any size down to a 5 pin JST ZH can be used for connecting to NinoTNC (only pins 7,8,9 and 11 are needed)
